The easiest way to communicate with your designer is through the Comments section on your design request.
Use comments to:
- Ask questions
- Share feedback
- Provide additional information
- Respond to updates from your design team
If you're requesting changes to a specific part of a design, we recommend using Annotations or the Video Feedback tool instead.
Using comments for general communication and annotations and video feedback for design-specific feedback helps keep everything organized and makes the revision process smoother for everyone.
Annotate Designs with Visual Comments
There are two ways to share feedback with your designer:
- Leave a comment to provide general feedback or ask questions about the request.
- Use annotations to point out specific areas of a design that you'd like updated.
Annotations are especially helpful during revisions because they let you pin feedback directly to the exact part of the design you're referring to.
How to add an annotation
- Open the design you'd like to review.
- Select the Annotation tool.
- Click on the area of the design you'd like to comment on.
- Enter your feedback.
- Repeat for any additional changes.
Why use annotations?
Annotations make revisions easier by helping you:
- Point to the exact element you'd like changed.
- Give clear, visual feedback.
- Reduce misunderstandings.
- Speed up the revision process.
Tips for better feedback
- Use separate annotations for different changes.
- Be as specific as possible.
- If you're requesting a larger design update, include a brief explanation so your designer understands the overall goal.
Your designer will see each annotation pinned to the design, making it easier to review your feedback and apply updates accurately.
